beautiful day...

well, last night was a much better sleep than the previous night...my neck is still stiff, and when i lay down it hurts to move it certain ways...but no more shaking ..ANYWAYS, this morning jodi and i woke up, had yogurt and some bread from a local grocery store and boarded the boat to another island...where st. marcoàs cathedral is located...in st. marcos square..we are staying on an island of venezia called lido.anyways, we walked around for a few hours seeing the sights.everything is gorgeous here with the gondolas and old buildings.the weather today was amazing..blue, sunny skies..but breezy.after we were done with st. marco (after marco polo) square, we took our boat back to lido and grabbed a slice of pizza and some coca cola lights for lunch.we then went back to the hostel and washed some of our much needed to be washed clothes, in our lovely sink ç)quickly after, we put our suits on and walked to the beach.we laid out for a good 4hrs on the beautiful venice beach...many topless women...and many tight shorts/bikinis on the very hairy or waxed (depending on how metro the guy is and probably where he is actually from) men.mannnny good looking men here..haha.one of them said hi to jodi as we were diving into the waves of the mediterranean..and asked where she was from..i knew she was blushing, even tho i couldnàt tell becxause of the sun burn on her face..hehe.anyways, the beach was super fun and we took showers after and are about to grab dinner.we are both wearing our little black dresses tonight...it def feels good to dress up a bit and feel a bit girly in the midst of this backpacking business..we booked our hostel in florence..we leave tomorrow morning from venice..spending a night in tuscany and 2 in florence..about 40 min frmo each other.excited to see the david in florence!ok...itàs jodiàs turn now...goodbye..
